Exciting new Great Barrier Island kayak adventure launched

Using the skills and staff at ASK and selected Paddling Perfection classic sea kayaks (as they become available), kayakers from both NZ and across the world can now join a fully supported and guided kayak experience at the spectacular Great Barrier Island.

The first trip is filling fast! Its an exciting opportunity!

Over the years kayaking clients have been asking for a multi-day tour that is unique, challenging and in a stunning environment.

Great Barrier Island located on the outskirts of the Hauraki Gulf has the answer.

This tour is designed for our clients, or future clients that can all ready paddle to an intermediate level. This is comfortable to paddle a single kayak for up to 5 hours a day (not in one sitting).

The tour has a minimum number of 4 and maximum number of 6 people.

Depart: Wednesday 9th of March at 7.30am from Wynyard Wharf central Auckland aboard the Sea Link Great Barrier Express, sea kayaks and all, heading towards Port Fitzroy, Great Barrier Island. This journey takes approx 5 hours and a great way to relax and take in the islands and sights of the inner Hauraki Gulf.
Returning: Sunday 13st of March from Tryphena Harbor to Wynyard Wharf aboard the Great Barrier Express arriving in Auckland at approx 8pm.

Once we arrive on the island we slip into our boats and away exploring and camping for 4 nights.

Great Barrier Island is one of the most tranquil and unspoilt places you’ll ever find. On this trip you will discover the island’s golden beaches, crystal-clear waters and vast native forests – on Great Barrier Island, nature is king.

Auckland Sea Kayaks will provide high quality single sea kayaks or doubles with all the boats made in New Zealand. All boat/ferry transfers from Auckland City to the Barrier and return, hotel pickups if required, camping, kayaking equipment, permits and catering (dietary requirements no problems) is included in the price.

Price $1350 per person, 5 days all inclusive.
